北京大学新结构经济学研究院是中国第一个以社会科学自主理论创新为宗旨的机构，其前身为北京大学新结构经济学研究中心，由世界银行前首席经济学家兼高级副行长林毅夫教授创办于2015年12月，是国家首批高端智库试点单位之一。北京大学新结构经济学研究院积极开展新结构经济学领域的学术研究、政策实践、人才培养、国际交流等方面的工作，引导中国及其他发展中国家中希望推动本国长期经济发展的专家学者、青年学子和政府精英，以期尽早掌握运用新结构经济学的思想、理论和工具，摆脱基于发达国家经验的主流发展理论的束缚，实事求是地探索出一条适合本国自身特色的现代化之路。北京大学新结构经济学研究院诚挚邀请各领域优秀人才的加入。

The Institute of New Structural Economics at Peking University (INSE) is a pilot academicinstitute in Chinathat aims at achieving the independent theoretical innovation of socialsciences. Its predecessor, the Center for New Structural Economics (hereinafterreferred to as the CNSE), was founded by Prof. Justin Yifu Lin, former WorldBank Chief Economist and Senior Vice President, in December 2015, as one ofChina Top Think Tanks. The INSE aims to promote in-depth research andapplication of New Structural Economics (NSE) by facilitating NSE academicresearch, policy practice, talent cultivation, and international exchange. Theinstitute also aims to empower the scholars, experts, students and governmentelites in developing countries who are committed to long-term economicdevelopment with NSE ideas, theories and instruments so that they can draw aroad map to modernization that suits the characteristics of their owncountries. The Institute of New Structural Economics (INSE) at Peking Universityinvites applications for tenure-track positions at all levels in all fields ofeconomics.
