2、处理大型射电望远镜（如天马，FAST）脉冲星观测数据；

3、为工作及项目撰写相关论文；

二、基本条件

1、具有天体物理、天文技术与方法，或物理等相关专业博士学位；

2、具有射电脉冲星数据处理相关经验，并能熟练使用相关软件（如tempo2，Enterprise，PSRChive，presto，PINT等）和相关编程语言（如python，C/C++）；

3、具有射电脉冲星和射电天文学基本知识；

4、具有独立开展科学研究的能力；

5、热爱科研工作，诚实可信，具有较强的责任心；

6、具有较强的团队协作和进取创新精神。

The division of Radio Astronomy Science and Technology at ShanghaiAstronomical Observatory (SHAO) is currently seeking to fill one postdoctoralposition in the field of pulsar astronomy. We encourage applications fromobservers, data analyst, and theoreticians in various aspects of pulsarscience, including but not limited to precision radio pulsar timing, pulsartiming array and low-frequency gravitational wave detection, pulsar searching,pulsar / magnetar radio emission properties, test of gravity with binarypulsars and so forth.

The successful candidate will be able to take a lead on projects selectedfrom the categories above based on personal interest, and analysing datacollected with the largest radio telescopes on Earth such as FAST, ALMA, Effelsberg. Ifsuited, the successful candidate will also be able to work in largeinternational collaborations such as the International Pulsar Timing Array andthe Event Horizon Telescope. In addition, the candidate will be encouraged todevelop their own research projects in pulsar science and related fields. Theinitial appointment is for two years, with the possibility of extension for up tothree years, and the start date is flexible. The salary is commensurate withqualifications and experience, and is highly competitive.

Applications should have a PhD degree in astronomy, astrophysics, physicsor a closely related field. Demonstratable expertise in analysing pulsar dataand using pulsar software (e.g., tempo2, Enterprise,PSRCHIVE, presto) is highly desirable. Fluency in commonly used programminglanguages (e.g., python, C/C++) is required. Possession of basic knowledge onradio pulsar observations and radio astronomy is encouraged.

SHAO hosts research teams of a large diversity, comprising both Chineseand international astronomers, astrophysicists, and technical staff, with over50 faculty members, 30 technical engineering staff, 40 postdoctoralresearchers, and 80 PhD students. As an integral part of the Chinese Academyof Sciences, SHAO offers a vibrant research environment and access tostate-of-the-art facilities such as LAMOST and FAST. Moreover, SHAO possessesits own dedicated facilities, including the 65-m Tianma radio telescope andadvanced computational resources. SHAO is deeply involved in the SKA and CSSTproject.
